Ephesians 1:11, "It's in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living..."

With the first pick in the 2018 NFL draft, he declares that the Dallas Cowboys or the Miami Dolphins have chosen you for their first pick! The crowd roars with excitement even before your last name is mentioned, as you bolt out of your seat and head straight for the stage to accept your hat and jersey. You're the #1 draft pick; full of promise and potential, destined for greatness, ready to lead your team to the top! Did you know that once you become a Christ-follower, you're destined for an even higher level of greatness? God has chosen you to be an instrument and an influence for him. Just like the Dallas Cowboys or the Miami Dolphins scout potential draft picks, God has had his sights set on you and sees your potential! You're a major player on his team, so put on the hat and jersey and allow God to use you to make a difference in the game of life today!

Act

Send an encouraging text to a friend and remind them that God knows them even better than they know themselves and he sees their potential! Encourage them not to be content to "sit on the bench" but to "get in the game!" Invite them to join you at Fellowship Church where we can find the perfect position for them to play, using their God-given talent!

Dear Lord, thank you for calling me ‘chosen' and for the many unique talents you've given me! Help me to use them to be an instrument and influence for you today. In Jesus' name, Amen.
