2 Corinthians 5:18, "We're Christ's representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God's work of making things right between them."

Think

"God wants to use you to do great things!" Sometimes you may feel inadequate to take a new job, to make the sports team at school, to be the parent or spouse you want to be or to step away from addictive habits you've faced your entire life. Fear of inadequacy can make us feel like we're drowning, to the point of paralyzing us and keeping us from stepping out of our comfort zone to do what's right. But when we trust in God, he is able to change our perspective as we see things through his eyes. The birth story of Jesus is an amazing story. The people surrounding Jesus that day may have battled feelings of inadequacy, knowing they were in the presence of the Messiah. But they soon realized that God uses ordinary people in extraordinary ways. God wants to do the same in your life. He wants to use you for his good works. The question is, do you believe that you are enough for God to use you? He does and he knows that you can make a big difference in many lives as he is the ONLY one who knows your full potential.

Act

As you think through the birth story of Jesus, consider all that God did to bring his Son to earth. Ask him to reveal to you what he wants to bring to life in your life as well!

God, I thank you for reminding me that I am enough. Help me understand when you are giving me opportunities to step out of my comfort zone to do your good works. I trust that you will shine through me to reach many. Amen.
