    Another Route

    Read

Matthew 2:12, "And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route."

    Think

"True worship always causes us to leave by another route." The wise men were looking for the North Star, seeking the birth of the newborn King of the Jews. As God-fearing Gentiles, they traveled from afar to bow before Jesus. By faith, they embarked on a very long journey. Isn't it ironic that those who should have been present, the religious elite, completely missed it? On a perpetual path of spiritual blindness, their hearts were directionally challenged. They lacked the faith to see. Yet the hearts of those who knelt before the newborn King were rerouted and forever changed. Have you knelt before Jesus and accepted the gift of eternal life? When Jesus enters our lives, we are never the same. Once we surrender our lives to him and make a faith decision, God reroutes us and corrects our course. Only then do we gain a life of purpose, peace and unending joy. Forever changed, no matter where we go, our hearts are always headed true north!

    Act

Help direct the people you know who are far from God by inviting them to experience the Candlelight Services happening this Sunday and Monday at Fellowship Church. Those who come and experience the life-changing message of Jesus Christ may very well leave by another route!

    Pray

Dear Lord, thank you for opening my eyes to the path of purpose you have for my life. Use my life to be a shining example to those still groping through darkness. In the name of Christ, Amen.
