    A Voice of Confidence

    Read

Exodus 3:14, "God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: 'I AM has sent me to you.'"

    Think

When God called Moses to lead his people out of slavery in Egypt, Moses came up with several excuses as to why he shouldn't be God's delivery boy. He told God he wasn't really the man for the job because he stuttered and suggested that his brother, Aaron, would be a much better choice. God's voice of confidence spoke to him through a burning bush. Moses knew that people would ask who was commissioning him to take on this leadership role, so in one of the most epic moments in all of the Bible, God responded by saying, "tell them that ‘I Am' is sending you." Most of us can relate to Moses' feeling of inadequacy, which made him think he was not equipped to do the job. But, we must remember that God never calls us to do something we cannot do, if we will rely on his help. When we battle with voices that tell us we're not good enough, that is when we need to lean on God's stronger voice of confidence, which gives us Godfidence to fulfill the purpose he has planned for us.

    Act

One way to remind yourself that you are enough to do God's work is by listening to God's voice of confidence through his word. One of many great confidence boosters comes from Ephesians 2:10 which says..."For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." Write this verse out and put it in a prominent place where you will see it regularly. Let it remind you who you are and whose you are and it will help build Godfidence so that you can respond to God's call on your life, just like Moses did.

    Pray

God, I thank you for giving me opportunities to lead today. When I start to remotely feed into the lies that I am not good enough, help me fight the battle and remind me that I am yours. Give me the confidence to know I was made perfectly for whatever task you have for me to do. It's in your name I pray, Amen.
