    A God Who Cares

    Read

Psalm 103:13, "He is like a father to us, tender and sympathetic to those who reverence Him."

    Think

"Does God even care?" When we look at the fear, frustration, fatigue and failure that can come as a result of dysfunction, this question may be on the forefront of our minds. We may wonder if God even cares about what happens in our lives. In those moments, we need to doubt our doubts and feed our faith; and one of the best ways to feed our faith is to remember what is written in the Bible. The Bible is God's Word. Every chapter and every verse is what God wants us to know about Him, about us and about our circumstances. Today, we read that God is a tender and sympathetic Father. He cares. And in our dysfunction, if we choose to look for a sympathetic father, we will find a God who cares.

    Act

The saying goes that a short pencil is better than a long memory. If we want to remember specific Bible verses about God, we need to write them down where we can find them later. Take a moment to find a journal, a notecard, or a piece of paper and write down Bible verses that you want to remember. Then keep them and refer back to them to help you remember what God says!

    Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, I choose to believe what the Bible says about You. In those moments when I begin to doubt, please strengthen me to feed my faith by remembering what the Bible says. In Jesus' name, Amen.
