Read:

Joshua 1:8 “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”

Think:

Have you ever found yourself consumed by a TV show, unable to tear yourself away from the screen? Maybe it was a gripping murder mystery or a fascinating documentary on Netflix that left you in a daze, even after the show had ended. It's remarkable how something that holds no real value in our lives can take up so much of our time and mental energy. We become fixated on the characters and plot, replaying it over and over in our minds.

However, as Christians, we should strive to fill our minds with God's Word, not the latest binge-worthy show on Netflix or YouTube. Just like Joshua, who was tasked with becoming the CEO of a kingdom and who required serious leadership lessons, we too are called to be influencers in our own spheres of life. Therefore, it's essential that we heed the call to meditate on the Word of God, to be renewed in our minds and hearts daily, and to grow in our understanding of who God is and what he requires of us. By doing so, we'll be better equipped to fulfill our purpose and make a positive impact on those around us.

Be innovative in getting Scripture into your life. Listen to it, read it, ponder it, journal it.

Pray:

Jesus, help me to meditate on your Word throughout the day. Forgive me for being preoccupied with my tasks and technology. Alert me to the ways I am wasting time and energy and help me to change. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
