Think
What happens when you walk with someone? You talk, listen, and laugh. You share what’s on your mind, and your attention is focused exclusively on your walking companion.
News flash! God is always looking for walking partners. Noah was a man who walked with God. It wasn’t easy because the people of Noah’s day were full of corruption and depravity. Yet Noah was a righteous man, meaning he lived a life that reflected the One with whom he walked – God. Noah heard from God, and God regularly heard from Noah because they were walking companions.
To walk with God means that you have to walk in the same direction God walks, and stay in step with Him. In other words, walking in the same direction at the same pace. How do you do that? Let God’s Word, the Bible, be your compass to show you which direction to walk. Let prayer be your pedometer, keeping you in step with God.
