Read

Matthew 27:57-60, " (Joseph) went to Pilate and asked for Jesus' body. Pilate granted his request. Joseph took the body and wrapped it in clean linens, put it in his own tomb, a new tomb only recently cut into the rock, and rolled a large stone across the entrance. Then he went off." 2 Corinthians 5:17,  "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!"

Think

Have you ever wondered what it must have been like the day after Jesus died? His family and followers were devastated. Others went about their morning apathetic and distant from the events of the day. And the religious leaders were full of pride, because they were convinced they had successfully silenced this man and his message. The beaten and bloodied body of Jesus was placed in the tomb. But everything was about to change. 24 hours later ... Jesus would rise. Death would be defeated. Hope would reign. And the power of the resurrection would be on tap for all the devastated, apathetic, or prideful people who turned and gave their life to Jesus! He would transform all of his followers from that day to this day into new creations - the old was gone and the new had come! The time between the death and the resurrection of Jesus reminds us that whatever season you're going through, have hope. For with Jesus, you will come through it. And he has the power to change everything.

Act

List out some specific obstacles and challenges that you believe are standing in the way of your success. Take time daily, over the next week, to ask God to help you and give you wisdom. Also, share your list with a trusted confidant who can also be encouraging you and praying for you.

Pray

God, I'm so thankful that the same power that raised Jesus from the dead is available to me. Help me see past the obstacle before me and trust that you are bigger than any problem I will face. In Jesus' name, Amen.
