Matthew 28:19-20, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And, surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
What's the best gift you've ever received? Maybe it was that bicycle you begged for all year. You knew what color and size you wanted. You pictured yourself riding it with your friends. Then, you woke up on Christmas morning, and there it was! The bike of your dreams! You were so excited!
What was the first thing you did with that gift? You probably immediately went outside to show it off to the world! There's no way you took the gift to your room and hid it under the bed, never to use it. That'd be silly! But, too often, we do that very thing with the greatest gift we've ever received.
When Jesus steps in as the ruler of our lives, He gives us the ultimate present - eternal life! And rather than hiding the gift of His presence, we are called to show it off so that others may receive it too.
How are you sharing your gift of Jesus with others? Have you invited your friends or coworkers to experience Christmas services at church? Make a point to send a text, have a conversation, or message them on social media this week!
Dear God, Thank You for the most incredible gift of Your Son, Jesus. Help me have the boldness to share Him with my friends, family, coworkers, and others I encounter daily. Amen.
