Proverbs 3:9-10,  "Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine."

"It's not about what you make. It's about what you give." This weekend, we learned about being wise with our finances, and that begins with a plan: The "Give, Give, Live" plan. The first "Give" is the tithe, which simply means "ten percent." God tells us to bring the first ten percent of our income to the church. Does God need our money? No. What God desires is our trust. When we bring the first ten percent of our income to the local church, we are declaring that we trust God as our source and our provider. Our inward trust in God is made evident by the outward act of bringing the tithe. When we do tithe, the Bible says God will bless us – sometimes tangibly, many times intangibly, in ways that money could never touch. Read the second part of today's verse and the promise it holds. There is a "fullness" ,  "overflowing", and "renewing" that takes place when I consistently trust God through tithing. And it affects every area of our life. Are you trusting God with the first ten percent of your gross income? When you do, you will experience a provision, protection, and peace in life that no amount of money could ever buy. And you get a front row seat to watching lives changed at Fellowship Church, knowing that your generosity has played a significant part! Remember, it comes down to trust: is it, "In Me I Trust" or "In God I Trust".

If you're not consistently tithing, it's time to start! Take a moment to figure out what your tithe is by simply multiplying your gross monthly salary by .10. 10% of your monthly income is your tithe. You can customize how it's set up to best suit your budget, whether its giving monthly or weekly, etc. Maybe you are already tithing but need to update what you are bringing. Jesus, I commit from this day forward to faithfully bring the tithe to my church.  I choose to trust you by honoring you with all my wealth and with the tithe. In your name I pray, Amen!
