Read

“Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it because the time is near.” Revelation 1:3

Think

For some, the Book of Revelation creates feelings of dread and confusion. As they read about events that will occur in the end times, they become increasingly anxious and fearful. While Revelation is undoubtedly one of the most confusing books of the Bible, the reality is that, for those of us who have committed our lives to Christ, the book is a great source of comfort. We are given an all-access pass to see the very throne room of God, and even given a glimpse into the future that God has in His hands. While the imagery can seem confusing, the meaning behind it is simply this: God wins!

When Christ returns, all death, sickness, and evil will end. For those of us who have accepted God’s gift of eternal life through Christ, that is good news! So when you begin to feel anxiety about the unknowns of the future, focus on the God who holds the future in His hands. Walk in hope and assurance knowing that, in the end, we win!

Act

Instead of focusing on what you don’t know or understand about the end times, focus on what you DO know. Thank God for being in control and for loving us enough to come back and restore our world so that we can experience all the good that He intended.

Pray

God, Thank You for giving me the perspective You want for me. Thank you that the future is in Your hands! Amen.
