Read:
Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”
John 16:33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Think:
We inhabit a world fraught with conflict, strife, and unrest. A mere glance at our social media exposes the hurt, anxiety, and vanishing hope that permeate society. Christians globally endure persecution for their beliefs. Can peace truly be found in the midst of this tumultuous battleground?
Anticipating the trials his followers would confront, Jesus, prior to returning to the Father, encouraged his disciples to discover peace in him. Often in life, we seek solace and peace in various realms—friends, family, sports, technology, food, and popularity. Yet, none can satiate our yearning or deliver the profound serenity Jesus pledges. Placing our trust in God's provision of peace transcends all expectations. This divine peace becomes our shield, fortifying us in his unwavering strength.

If you find yourself anxious today, read Philippians 4:4-13 and walk through the steps for contentment. Ask God to show you where you are anxious and to give you rest.
Pray:
Heavenly Father, I am grateful for your peace that is available within the chaos of this world. Thank you for your unchanging nature. Guard my mind with the truth of who you are and who I am because of what you did on the cross for me. In Jesus' name. Amen.
