Read
Hebrews 10:24-25 (NLT), “Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.”
Think
The characteristics of our family can rub off on us. Maybe you begin to talk with a certain accent when you are around them. Maybe they are into a specific hobby or sport you become interested in when you are together. Maybe they have a specific set of values that you have adopted in your own life. In so many ways, our family influences us.
The church is designed to be our faith family, and God created us to be around them because they positively influence us. Our church family's love and good works should rub off on us. Consistently being around them helps encourage us and develop us into the men and women God designed us to be. Are you part of the family?
Act

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the family You have given me in the form of the church. Please help me prioritize the church so it will be the influence You want it to be in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
