Read

Matthew 28:1-6, "Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to visit the tomb. Suddenly there was a great earthquake! For an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, rolled aside the stone, and sat on it. His face shone like lightning, and his clothing was as white as snow. The guards shook with fear when they saw him, and they fell into a dead faint. Then the angel spoke to the women. ‘Don't be afraid!' He said. ‘I know you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He isn't here! He is risen from the dead, just as He said would happen.'"

Think

Today is Easter Sunday - a day of celebration, hope, and confidence. We CELEBRATE because this is the day that Jesus defied the odds. He conquered death and burst forth from the grave. When everyone thought it was the end, He showed them it was just the beginning. We have HOPE because Jesus sacrificed Himself, bearing our sin and shame so that we could have a never-ending relationship with our Heavenly Father – no matter what we've done. We have CONFIDENCE because we know that the same power that raised Jesus from that grave is available for us, no matter what challenges we may face. Let's celebrate, have hope, and live a life of confidence like never before!

Act

Today, celebrate the hope and confidence you have by sharing it with someone else. Reach out through a text, email, note or phone call to someone who needs encouragement and hope today. Share your confidence and celebrate the joy of Easter!

Pray

Lord Jesus, Thank You for the amazing reality of the resurrection. Today, I celebrate Your victory, the reason for the hope and confidence I've gained from knowing You personally. Use me to spread Your life-giving message to others who desperately need You. Amen.
