Think
"God loves you just as you are, but too much to let you stay the same." Have you ever stained a favorite sweater or pair of jeans and then soaked and scrubbed them like crazy, trying every stain remover to get it out? Our life is like that stained sweater. The Bible says that even on our best day, with our best efforts, we are like filthy rags - ripped in rebellion, stitched in sin. No matter how hard we try to "scrub," we can never remove the stain of our sin. The good news is that God loved us too much to leave us lying in filthy rags. So he made a new plan. He cut a new, perfect pattern that fits each of us perfectly, and his name is Jesus! The question is, are you going to trade in your filthy, grease-stained sweater for a tailor-made suit with your name in it? It's as easy as 1...2...3. Acknowledge there is a gap caused by your sin. Believe God sent Jesus to pay for your sin. Choose to accept Jesus as your Savior.
Act
Maybe you have never accepted Jesus as your Savior. There is no time like the present. Pray this prayer and trade your rags for tailor-made. "Jesus, I admit to you that I have fallen short; I am a sinner. I believe you sent Jesus to pay for my sins. Right now, I choose to accept Jesus as my Savior. Thank you for loving me and coming into my life!" If you prayed that prayer for the first time, let us know! Click the "Contact" button in the menu bar below and then click "I'm Committing My Life to Christ." We can't wait to celebrate with you!
Pray
God, thank you for sending Jesus to do what I could not do. Thank you for seeing past my stained rags and offering me my custom-made suit in Jesus. Help me to remember that even when I don't feel like it, I am clothed in your love and mercy. In Jesus' name, Amen.
