Read

Luke 2:40, "And the Child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him."

Think

"We cannot keep Jesus in a crib..." Have you ever tried to move something really heavy all by yourself, when you really knew deep down that it would be easier if someone were to help you? Many times, as prideful humans, we try to go through life just like that...all by ourselves. The Bible tells us that "God can do immeasurably more than we could ever ask or imagine!" If that's true, why don't our lives reflect that reality? Could it be that we forget that we are not on this journey alone? God sent his only son, Jesus, down to earth. But, he didn't stay in the manger. He went on to live a perfect life and die for our sins. And, then, the unthinkable happened as he rose three days later. Never forget that Jesus is still able to make the unthinkable happen! If we begin to doubt his ability and put limits on what he can do for us, it's like we are keeping Jesus in the crib. Jesus can do so much more to help us on our journey if we will only call out to him. When we do, we are taking full advantage of all he offers us!

Act

Write down three examples in your life where you have "Left Jesus in his crib." Remember, Jesus is the only one who is truly powerful enough to fulfill all of our needs and help us with any burdens we may have. Take him out of the crib, by asking for his help. When you do that, you'll experience how strong and big Jesus really is.

Pray

Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I know that without you I am weak, but with you I am strong. Help me have Godfidence in knowing I am not alone, trusting that, by faith, you can help me with ANYTHING. Amen.
