Ephesians 3:20-21, "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."
Think
There's an old story of a rich and powerful king who wanted to get married. When he found the woman he wanted, he asked the father what the wedding dowry should be. The father asked for an extravagant amount, but the king paid it. When the king was asked why he paid more than he had to, the king answered, "Because the father asks for so much, he acknowledges how much I have to give." What do your expectations say about God? Do you have the kind of expectations that acknowledge the power, love and resources of God? If your expectations don't match a God who can do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine, why not? The difference between you experiencing the abundance of God or going without what God wants for you could be your expectations. Have the kind of expectations that acknowledge how much God has to give!
Act
Write down your expectations for today. Once that's done, take a few minutes to reflect on those expectations and ask God to show you if you have the expectations He desires for you.

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your great love. Please develop in me expectations that reflect Your greatness. In Jesus' name, Amen.
