“The next day the huge crowd that had arrived for the Feast heard that Jesus was entering Jerusalem. They broke off palm branches and went out to meet him. And they cheered: ‘Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in God’s name!’” John 12:13
Today is Palm Sunday – the day when Jesus triumphantly entered Jerusalem, thousands of years ago. The coming Messiah entered the town to a chorus of cheers from thousands of people. It was a joyous day and had been foretold hundreds of years before. But, sadly, by the end of the week, most of those who celebrated Jesus on Sunday turned their backs on Him. As you think about this day and the coming week, ask yourself a convicting question: Do I celebrate Jesus only on Sunday and turn my back on Him the rest of the week?
Don’t reserve your cheers for Him just for one day of the week. Remember, Jesus deserves our adoration every day of the week!
Be bold every day of the week if you have faith in Jesus! Don’t be afraid to share how God is working in your life and invite others to share what you’re experiencing!
Dear God, I know that You are the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Help me remember that reality and have the courage to show it – not just today, but every day of every week. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
