Think
"People get funny when you talk about money." Think about it. We spend a great deal of our time trying to earn and spend money. Because money relates in some way to almost everything we do, it can become the source of value and meaning to our life. Our net-worth determines our self-worth. Little wonder why people get funny when you talk about money! Money is, in fact, neutral. The real test is what we do with our money. The Bible makes it clear that we are managers, not owners, of the money God has entrusted to us. How we manage that money reveals our priorities, loyalties and affections. People like to say that money talks. Well, what is your money saying about you? It's time to be a good manager of the money God has given you by applying the
B-G-L principle.
BRING the tithe, ten percent of what you earn, back to God.
GIVE yourself ten percent by saving.
LIVE on the remaining eighty percent. God wants us to control our money rather than allowing it to control us.
Act
Make a pre-determined decision about how you will manage the money entrusted to you by God, and apply the
B-G-L principle today.
Pray
Heavenly Father, my desire is to be a faithful manager of all you have entrusted to me. Thank you that you are faithful to me in every way. In Jesus' name, Amen.
