Test Me

Read

Psalm 139:23b, "...test me and know my anxious thoughts."

Think

God is for you. He loves you more than you can imagine. He has great plans for your life and wants the best for you. This same God, though, allows us to be tested. And while the devil tempts us to make us do wrong, God puts tests in our path to make us strong! The Psalmist knew God well. He had been through some very difficult times with God, and had seen God do great things in the midst of those difficult times. So when David invited God to test him, he knew that God would use that to make him better. God is going to place opportunities in your life for you to get better. Those times are often tests! Don't mistake them for punishment. Don't miss out on them because they are difficult. Instead, look for these opportunities for God to take you to new levels and welcome the tests that will make you better.

Act

Look for the tests throughout your day. They may be big; they may be small. But whatever they look like, pray for the strength you need to face them – and to succeed in them!

Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, I believe that You love me and have good plans for my life. I believe that when You allow me to face tests, it is because You want to do something good in my life. Please help me recognize that the tests You bring into my life are for my good.
