Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it."

Think

If asked to name a famous supermodel, you might say Naomi Campbell or Heidi Klum. But life's most fabulous supermodels are often behind the camera and receive far less compensation for their work. Who are they? MOMS!

Most developmental experts agree that 90% of a child's personality forms by the age of five. Jochebed, Moses' mom, sensed this innately and made the most of her time with him in his early childhood. She did a super job modeling a life of worship on the Egyptian runway and took heart in teaching her son about the one true God in a land that praised idols. She believed that training him in godly wisdom during his most formative years would last a lifetime - and it certainly did!

This supermodel mom's signature outfit was a robe called faith. Moms (and dads, too) should regularly examine the following questions: What emotions am I modeling? What kind of couture character am I wearing? What style of conflict resolution is on display? Do my children see Christ in me?

Some days are tougher than others to dress for success, and we won't always look our best. But as we strive to consistently model godly discipline, our children will see those off-days as an exception, not the rule. So, Moms, don't forget that you are God's beautiful SUPERMODELS on the runway of life. That coat of faith looks great on you!

Act

List any actions or habits that you need to "dress up" so you can be a better example for those within your sphere of influence. Ask God for help and resolve to make any necessary changes today!

Pray

Dear God, I want my life to be an example worthy to follow by those who look up to me, particularly my children. Help me change any actions and habits that do not reflect Your character and increase my faith. In Jesus' name, Amen.
