Read

Daniel 1:8, "But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way." Philippians 4:13, "I can do all this through him who gives me strength."

Think

Throughout history, the world has been shaped by people who stand boldly for what they believe. They were unwilling to give up on their dream no matter the challenge or previous failures. These pioneers and global influencers changed the world for the better and they all had one thing in common: resolve. To be resolved means to be committed to a course of action, no matter what. Daniel was a man of resolve. He had committed himself to following God's plan and purpose for his life. Even in the face of opposition, Daniel stood for what he believed. Because of that, God granted him the opportunity to have an impact like few others did. God wants each of us to have the kind of impact Daniel did. Yet, too often, we cower to the pressure of going along with the crowd, even when it goes against God's plan. And sadly, we miss out on the impact we could have. As you think about your life, are you a person of resolve? Do you stand firm for what you believe in, even when it isn't popular? Begin to stand boldly for the things of God. Use your influence to introduce others to Jesus as you live a life fully committed to Him. And like Daniel, you'll experience the blessings of God's plan and purpose in your life as he uses you in mighty ways!

Act

Use your influence to represent and stand for God. Look through your social media feeds. What do the things you post say about you? Are people seeing you take a stand for God or are you getting swept up by the opinions and negativity of others? Use your social media to stand boldly in a world that so often doesn't!

Pray

Dear God, as I go throughout my day, I pray for Your strength in my life. Help me to stand firm and to be an example of faith and strength to those around me. I pray this in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
