So Good

Read

Psalm 77:4-6, "You kept my eyes from closing;  I was too troubled to speak. I thought about the former days,  the years of long ago; I remembered my songs in the night."

Think

Let's face it, life isn't always sunshine and roses. Sometimes we are stuck by the thorns of life. It's in those times that we find ourselves searching and grasping for something, anything that makes sense. This seems to be the place Asaph was as he wrote Psalm 77. Asaph was the worship leader during King David's reign. He penned some of the Psalms that we still read today. As we read this Psalm, we can see that he is in a familiar state of mind for many of us. The weight and troubles of life are keeping him awake. But even as he cries out and reaches for God, he doesn't feel heard by God. This too is a familiar place for many. What do we do when our cries to God seem to go unheard? Don't let feelings hide the truth that God does hear you. He knows our anguish. Have faith that although you may feel desperately out of control, He is firmly in control. His goodness and faithfulness can be trusted today just as it could yesterday and can be trusted forever. Now rest.

Act

There are certain triggers that remind us of God's presence and love when we feel most alone. Take a moment to listen to Fellowship Creative's new song "So Good" in the "Fellowship Creative" section of the FC app. Let this be a reminder of God's Goodness in your life today and always.

Pray

Heavenly Father, thank you for your goodness and faithfulness in my life. There are times when I feel you aren't answering me. Help me to remember and trust that you do hear me and you are in control. In Jesus' name, amen!
