Colossians 1:15-17, "Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can't see- such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together."
Think
Apollo 11. One of mankind's greatest achievements. Imagine being on that spaceflight, preparing to land on the moon, and trying to wrap your mind around the vastness of space. What a sight that would have been, imagine yourself in that position, looking back at earth from that vantage point for the first time in human history. What a glorious sight. And that still can't even begin to compare to experiencing the fullness and power of God's glory. Imagine how humbling it must have been to be a part of one man's greatest moments and yet feel so small compared to the grandness of God's creation. When we begin to intentionally take time to focus on the truly awesome nature of God it will change the way we view our world. God gives us His Word, the Bible, and an open invitation to talk to Him at any time. He alone is able to reveal His Glory to us if we're willing to leave our world of constant activities for a few moments, humbling ourselves and making Him a priority. And when we do, He will be invited into our daily lives as we are properly positioned to reflect Him in all we do.
Act
Walk to a mirror and look at your reflection. God wants to use YOU today to reflect His glory to others! Make a mental note and pray that God would open your eyes to His glory at work in your life.
Pray
God, in all of your magnitude and glory, You are still a personal God; it's amazing. Thank You for caring about me enough to reveal Yourself to me. I pray that others would experience Your glory through me! Amen.
