More Than Conquerors

Read

Romans 8:37, "...in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us."

Think

As Christ followers, we know that we are fighting from the victory, not for it, because Jesus secured the ultimate victory for us on the cross. However, in the midst of conflict, we can easily forget this important truth. But the fact is, we are "more than conquerors." This means that we are winners! With God's immense power, abounding love, and the guidance of His word, we are set up to win as singles, as couples, as parents, and even as grandparents. In today's wheels-off culture, though, we will face many obstacles, scheduling conflicts, and marital challenges. Thus, we must remember that God is for us. But we must be willing to fight for that which we hold most dear and near to our hearts – our families. Therefore, to prepare ourselves for battle we must spend time on our knees in prayer, arm ourselves with biblical truth, and align our commitments with God-given priorities. Here's the phrase that pays: The ultimate fight is the family, because fighting for the family is the ultimate.

Act

One of the best ways to prepare for battle is found in Ephesians 6:10-20. Read about putting on the full armor of God to take your stand against the powers of this world as you fight the ultimate fight for your family.

Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for setting families up to win. I praise You for sending Jesus to conquer death, that I may be "more than a conqueror" through Him. Thank You for the truth and guidance of Your word. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
