Think

There is no book in the world like the Bible. No book ever penned has the power, purpose, or potential for your life like the Bible. What makes it more than just another book? Simply put, as today's verse reads, the Bible (all of it) is inspired by God. Other translations say that Scripture is "God-breathed". In other words, what you read in the Bible was not thought up by human authors; the words are the very words of God. He literally breathed them, and God can't have bad breath! So much of our world today is fake and phony. We hear false reports all the time. Yet, when you read the Bible, not one word is misspoken or misplaced. The Bible is a book of perfection. It is infallible and inerrant. So when you read the Bible, you can trust that what you are reading is Truth. It is the very foundation on which you can build every area of your life! As you go through your day, think about how much of your life is based on the Bible. Are you trusting the Word of God to lead and guide you?

Act

Consider how much priority you place on reading and reflecting on God's Word. When you wake up in the morning, what is the first "app" you open? It is God's Word? Or is it Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, or Snapchat? Consider changing your schedule to allow yourself time each day to spend your first 5-10 minutes reading God's Word before you open anything else!

Pray

Dear Lord, thank you for providing me with Your Word. Help me to understand and rely on what You say and to trust the very words You have inspired. Grant me the wisdom and understanding that only come from fully trusting in You so that I can experience the life that You have designed for me.
