Make Some Noise!

Read

Psalm 19:1, "The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork." Romans 1:19-20, "For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made."

Think

Great musicians know how to express their thoughts and emotions through their music in ways that words alone cannot. Whether it's a sad song or it makes us want to get up and dance, the listener feels the message and emotionally connects with its meaning far more than if they're just told, "I'm feeling happy or sad." Just as we express ourselves through great music, all of creation is singing praises to God. Everyone on the face of the earth hears it and is under its influence. We all feel this melodic message that fills the sky, declaring God's glory. As each new day dawns, we are given the opportunity to sing along with the sounds of nature. And every night, we can look at the unimaginable magnitude of the star-filled sky and listen to the heavens at full volume as we take in the brilliant blaze of God's glory. Today, let's join in and make some noise for all that God is and all that He's done!

Act

Tonight, take a moment to go outside and look up at the evening sky. Listen carefully and you will hear the heavens singing. Join them as you pray the prayer below.

Pray

Dear God, I hear the song that all of creation is singing. I, too, declare Your glory and proclaim the wonderous works of Your mighty hand. May my life reflect Your glory like the heavens up above. In Jesus' name, Amen.
