Matthew 6:6, "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." Psalms 145:18, "The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth."

"Location. Location. Location." You've maybe heard this mantra from a real estate agent talking about home values. To put it simply, location is essential to a property's worth. The same can be said of effective prayer. Establishing a spot, a private area for prayer time is an essential game-changer in your walk with God. So, where can you pray? Anywhere, and you should! But there's something especially powerful about going to a solitary, distraction-free place to have alone time with just you and God. A spot that allows you to speak freely and hear God's voice. A special meeting ground between you and your Heavenly Father. Get creative! It can be a special chair, a space in your house, a favorite park or coffee shop. What's important is that you go into YOUR room, by yourself, and pray to your Father. Location, location, location.  It's priceless!

Act

If you do not have a special place to pray, find one and designate it as your secret place with God. Then, make it a daily ritual to spend with God in that space.

Dear God, although I know I can speak with You anywhere, at any time, I want to spend time with You each day in our own special place. Help me to make this a consistent pattern. I love You! Amen.
