Titus 2:7-8, "In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us."

"The way you live your life shows what Jesus has done for you." Every decision you make speaks volumes to those around you about who you are and what you believe. Today's Bible verses challenge the integrity, the seriousness, and the soundness of our words as well as our actions! Integrity is about living the same way whether no one is watching, or when all eyes are on us. Seriousness is a commitment to what we believe. And soundness of speech challenges us to make sure that what we say lines up with what the Bible says. When you are a follower of Jesus, your influence grows exponentially when you remember that the example you set is not just a reflection of you, but a reflection of what Jesus has done.

Act

You can't change the decisions of your past, but you can set a powerful example with your decisions today. As you think about your day, what is one thing you could do to set an example for others about what it truly means to follow Christ?

Pray

Father, show me if there are any areas where my words and actions are not a good example or reflection of you. Help me to live with integrity and may my words be full of encouragement and kindness. In Jesus' name, Amen.
