Read

Proverbs 14:12, "There is a way that appears to be right to a person, but in the end, it leads to death."

John 8:31-32, "Jesus said, ‘If you hold to My teaching, you are really My disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.'"

Think

Why do you think the way you think? It seems like a silly question, but, really, take a moment to ponder the question. Your thoughts are probably influenced by your past experiences, relationships, and family of origin. But the greatest factor that affects the way you think is your worldview.

Whether we realize it or not, we all have a worldview, a comprehensive panoramic perspective from which we do life. It is an all-encompassing and consequential life perspective that determines our choices. Worldviews can be broken down into two categories: a biblical perspective grounded in absolute truth, or a secular perspective where truth is a conditional, moving target based on feelings. So, which camp are you in?

Jesus, never one to mince words, boldly stated: "I am the way and the truth and the life." He never said, "Whatever seems true to you," or "Whatever you feel is right." He made it clear that He was the source of all truth. Because, there are no such things as alternative facts, feelings-based conditional clauses, blurred lines, or partial sins in God's economy. Like math, there's a clear distinction between right and wrong; truth is truth.

The Bible clearly delineates truth from falsehood, right from wrong. When we commit to living and thinking with a biblical worldview, our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors will begin to align with God's Word. They will be based on a firm foundation of truth, and those choices and actions will put us on a track to glorifying God and living an effective, purposeful life.

Jesus is a worldview. Seek to do life His way with TRUTH stamped on your heart! When you do, you'll flourish in the peace and freedom found only in Christ!

Act

Even as Christians who base our lives on God's truth, we can have areas in our lives, blind spots, or pockets of sin that need to be eliminated. Take a few moments to consider and then lift the situation up to God. Determine what changes you may need to make to live in the light of Truth!

Pray

Dear Lord, Shine the light of Your truth into my life. Correct me when my perspective shifts from obeying You to seeking my own desires. Guide me as I look to you to order my steps. In Jesus' name, Amen.
