Read

Acts 26:28-29, "Agrippa replied to Paul, ‘In a short time you will persuade me to become a Christian.' And Paul said, ‘I would wish to God, that whether in a short or long time, not only you, but also all who hear me this day, might become such as I am, except for these chains.'"

Think

"The radically RESCUED, RESCUE radically." There's something about an amazing story that impacts us. From award-winning movies and best-selling books to tales that have been shared across generations, there's something about a story that captivates us. In this chapter of Acts, Paul was imprisoned, but sharing his story with King Agrippa and telling of the life-changing work that God had done in his life. After hearing his story, the king was intrigued. He could see that this man in chains was even freer than him. The king said, "I may want to be a Christian like you." It was the power of Paul's story, even as a prisoner, that impacted the king. Even in chains, the freedom and authority that Paul spoke with inspired the king. The same is true of our story. God can use it to touch the life of someone else!

Act

What is your rescue story? Write it out. Pray a high-risk prayer and ask God for opportunities to share your story with others.

Pray

God, thank you for setting me free from the sins of my past and placing my feet on the right path. Please put people in my path who need to hear about who you are and give me the confidence to share it with them. In Jesus' name, Amen.
