Read

Psalm 25:14, "The LORD confides in those who fear Him; He makes His covenant known to them." Deuteronomy 10:12, "What does the Lord require of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in all His ways, to love Him, to serve the Lord with all your heart and with all your soul."

Think

"Eyes Only" is a phrase stamped on documents intended only for a specific group of readers. It designates private, personal communication written exclusively for those with the appropriate security clearance. No clearance, no viewing! Psalm 25:14 contains a Hebrew idiom, "The LORD confides," meaning that God reveals "eyes only" messages to certain individuals. Those who fear God are His confidants, His "eyes only" readers privy to His personal conversations. To those who stand in awe of God's holiness and almighty power, the LORD's words are plainly evident and understandable because they have ears to hear and hearts to obey. A heart that fears God is a heart that can hear God. A heart turned away will not. If you have ever wondered why you can't make sense of God's Word, check your security clearance. Although written for everyone, the Bible has "Eyes Only" stamped on it. The more we attempt to read it, the more willing we are to obey what's written, the more we seek intimacy with God, the more God will grant us understanding and wisdom. Remember, to hear God is to fear God. Today, ask God to confide in you. Tell Him you want to have "eyes only" clearance stamped on your life!

Act

What behavior are you still practicing that you know God doesn't want you to do? Choose today to repent of that sinful behavior. Change your ways. Fear God!

Pray

Dear God, I fear You, and I want to hear from You! I repent of my sin and thank You for Your forgiveness. Today I choose to do what's pleasing in Your sight. Give me a hunger for understanding Your word as I seek to live out Your best for my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.
