Read

Psalm 77:11-12, "I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds."

Think

When we face difficulties and challenges, God doesn't want us to forget to remember. Why? Because courage & confidence come to us when we remember God's miracles - miracles God has done in the past through the pages of scripture and miracles we can see in the rearview mirror of our own lives. Throughout Scripture, God reminded his people to remember. In the Old Testament, they would mark significant places with a mound of stones to remind them of what God had done in that place. They would mark significant dates or events with special celebrations. In the New Testament, Jesus told his disciples to remember his death on the cross by sharing in something that we now call communion. Even today, whether we are remembering Christ's death, burial and resurrection by taking communion together or we are remembering specific events in our own lives, it's important to remember what God has done in the past to strengthen our faith and confidence as we face the future. When Jesus shared his last meal with his disciples, he said "Do this in remembrance of me ." We can continue to live this out when we... Don't Forget to Remember!

Act

Take a moment and write down three miracles you remember out of the Bible where God demonstrated his mighty deeds. Then, write three miracles that God has done in your personal life through the years. Underneath, write this phrase. "God is still in the miracle business!" Put it somewhere where you will see it often and let it remind you to remember.

Pray

God, your Word is full of miracles stacked on top of miracles, which are so helpful in reminding me of your awesome power and love. May I never forget to remember all of your mighty deeds in days gone by as I praise you for all you've done! Thank you! In Jesus' name, Amen.
