Zechariah 4:10,
"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin..."
Think
Have you ever thought "I've paid my dues, when is something greater coming my way?" Many of us have had moments like this. That's why this verse was given to us. It is here to remind us that "God is preparing you for what he has prepared for you." Many times we look at the success of others that seems to come faster than ours and we find jealousy and envy rearing their ugly heads. When that happens, it brings on pain and frustration. That's why it's essential to "Be Aware When You Compare!" The incredible story of Fellowship Church started with only a handful of faithful people. Many times, Pastor Ed could have thrown in the towel and given up, but this verse was one of many that encouraged him to remain faithful through it all. And look at the dynamic church that it is now. It touches millions of people throughout the world! In God's plan, there is always purpose in the process, so
don't bail out before the breakthrough because God's divine preparation is at work!
Act
Stop and think today about all the ministries that Fellowship Church offers: feeding of over 4 million in our orphanages around the world, prison campuses, six weeks of camps for kids and students, many satellites including our new Frisco Campus, inspirational messages by our Pastor, Connect Groups, Bible Studies and more. None of this even existed 30 years ago, but due to the faithfulness of many, Fellowship Church has gone from a small beginning to one of the world's greatest churches dedicated to ministry! How about your life? What is a "small beginning" that God is calling you to be faithful in?
Pray
God, I want to thank you right now that our church is a big church! I'm grateful that I can be a part of what you are doing here. Thank you for the people who have been faithful here and help me to be faithful in the big and small things you call me to do. To you be the glory, Amen!
