Read

Romans 12:1, "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God-this is your true and proper worship." 1 Corinthians 10:31, "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God."

Think

It's been said that compartmentalization is key to successfully navigating life. Essentially, it's drawing lines around the various aspects of our lives and focusing on just one at a time. We put on the appropriate hat for the occasion as a parent, friend, spouse, co-worker, boss, and, yes, even as a Christian. Each compartment functions independently for maximal performance. But when it comes to the Christian life, compartmentalization is counterproductive. So, what happens when we try to put the God of the universe in a box? God isn't merely an item on the to-do list of our lives. He doesn't come out on Sundays and then go back on the shelf. Every facet of our lives belongs to God. In fact, worship should be our response to who God is and what He's done. And it should be expressed in everything we say and do. In other words, we don't come to church to worship, we come worshiping! It's time to stop putting boundaries around God. When we live every aspect of our lives as an act of worship, we'll see success flow into every compartment. So, "whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God!"

Act

We don't have to stop and worship. It's something we can do as we go through each moment of our day. Today, consciously choose to obey and honor God through your words and actions. Choose to live a life of worship!

Pray

Heavenly Father, thank You for all You've done in my life. I know that I've been guilty at times of trying to compartmentalize You and worship You on my terms. Help me to live my whole life as an act of worship in everything I do and say. Be glorified in my life! In Jesus' name, Amen.
