Proverbs 14:17,
"A man of quick temper acts foolishly." Proverbs 29:11,

Think
"The heart of anger: I didn't get what I want and I'm not happy about it." "That's just how I am. I get angry and I can't help it." "I'm not angry, I'm fine." We've all experienced anger. It's a powerful emotion and everyone responds differently. Do any of these seem familiar to you?
- Volcanos - They explode covering everyone with their hot lava of anger.
- Ice, Ice, Baby - They ice everyone out with four simple words, "Nothing's wrong. I'm fine."
- Tupperware - They stuff their anger inside and seal the lid, until someone opens it and discovers the rotten stench of festering anger.
- Wambulance – They make sure everyone can hear their whining WAAAAAmbulance from a mile away.
Don't allow these anger management styles to control you. The next time you feel yourself getting angry, stop and take a deep breath. Immediately ask God to reveal the true source of your anger – fear, insecurity, jealousy, etc. And then ask him to give you the wisdom to deal with the real issue.
Act
Find a trusted friend. Talk to them about how you handle your anger. Ask them to check in with you this week on how you have handled any situations you might have normally mishandled.
Pray
Dear God, help me to control my anger. I realize that my anger has controlled me for far too long. I know with your help I can discover the real reason for my anger and change the way I manage it. Help me to be honest with myself. In Jesus' name, Amen!
