A Different Kind of Love Story

Read

Romans 8:35, 37, 39, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? ... No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us ... Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Isaiah 41:10, "Don't be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand."

Think

When Jesus rose from the dead, He declared His authority over death. He defeated OUR darkness and, because of this victory, we can, too! And it's not because we're able to get a grip on darkness and figure it out. No, it's because God has a grip on us. So, if God has this impenetrable grip on us, where is He when terrible things happen? Because, unfortunately, our faith doesn't preclude us from pain or tragedy. But our assurance is this: Nothing can separate us from God's love! The same God who knit us together in our mother's womb with care, precision, and a great purpose in mind, is ALWAYS with us, strengthening us by His almighty power and bolstering us to face the unthinkable. There's absolutely NOTHING that could cause Him to love us any less! When we get this - when we wallow in the miraculous nature of the unfailing, unchanging, and unyielding love of our Heavenly Father - we can trust, like, and even love a one-of-a-kind, unique masterpiece - ourselves. It's a different kind of love story. It's the love story. And nothing can separate you from it!

Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank You for keeping every promise, for never loosening Your grip on my life. I know that I'm steadied and anchored by Your unstoppable love and will lean on You in the darkness just as I would in the light. In Jesus' name, Amen.
