The story of Moses can easily be traced using candy? Ready to see how? Here we go! (Follow the devotionals throughout the week to keep the story going!) When the Israelites had been enslaved for 400 years, Pharaoh, the Egyptian ruler, ordered that all the 'Sugar Babies' (male Hebrew infants) be thrown into the Nile River. But Moses' mom said, "Not my baby!" So, she fastened a 'Cracker Jack' craft and placed him in it among the reeds in the river. While bathing in the Nile, Pharaoh's daughter noticed the Cracker Jack craft floating nearby and found a prize inside – baby Moses. And through this strange set of circumstances, she adopted Moses into the royal family. Moses had a miraculous and magical childhood. Growing up in the palace he had the best education, the best wardrobe, the best technology, the best of everything! In fact, he was being groomed to become the next Pharaoh. But God had different plans for Moses. Therefore, we can call him 'Mr. Mint,' because God meant for him to do something absolutely amazing. And due to his upbringing, Moses would go on to become one of the most prolific leaders of all time. Here's the phrase that pays: God's plan is for you, man! Like Mr. Mint (Moses), we have been given an amazing plan by God. When we surrender our lives to Jesus, we find ourselves in a position to be used supernaturally by Him!

Pray

Father God, thank You for sending Jesus to live righteously, die sacrificially, and rise bodily to cover my sins and pave the way for me to have eternal life. I seek to fulfill the purpose You have set before me so that I may honor You and bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
