2 Peter 1:2
“Grace and peace be yours in abundance throughout he knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.”
It is the week after Christmas and you may look over at your “grace” sign hanging in the kitchen and the “G” is toppled over and the “C” is missing. Classic. The “G” is probably in the garbage and the “C” is most likely in the junk drawer, basically you have gotten used to seeing “grace” all disheveled. Your broken grace is a picture of the grace you are displaying towards those around me and for myself. You love Jesus, but do you actually put that love into practice?
You accept His grace for salvation, for the big things; but His grace is also supposed to be for the small, daily life things too. Diving into Scripture we see that grace and peace are linked. When we start walking in grace then we live in peace. When we give grace, we encounter peace.
When your spouse is frustrated with something and says something unkind, give grace. When your child accidentally makes a mess, give grace. Extending grace simply means being kind- watch your tone, check your words.
God thank you for Your amazing grace. Help me give Your grace to others just as freely as I have received it.
