Be Amazed

Read

1 Corinthians 2:9-10, "However, as it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" - the things God has prepared for those who love Him - these are the things God has revealed to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.'"

Think

Current technology is really mind-blowing when you consider everything that has developed in a relatively short time frame.  Think about it: From the time Ben Franklin discovered electricity to today's electric cars that start when drivers simply get in, we've come a long way. It's simply amazing to consider. Just when we think we've advanced something as far as it can go, the newest, shiniest, fastest version appears. Genius people have conceived ideas that were once only dreamed of in classic Sci-Fi movies and brought them into existence.

While these feats of technological advancement are truly amazing, they pale in comparison to what God has in store for us.  As today's scripture reminds us, "no eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared."  For many of us, it's a hard concept to grasp.  It may even be a little unsettling if you like being in control. However, "for those who love Him" is a comforting revelation. Why? Because it frees us to stop stressing about the unknown and stand in the confidence that, while we don't know or understand what the future may hold, God does!

Our job is to continue stepping in the direction along the path that He has for us.  As we stay close to Him and follow His guidance, the unknown no longer has the fear-producing effect it once had. Instead, life becomes an adventure - waiting to discover what amazing things await us.  And for those who love Him, it's truly beyond anything we could ever conceive or imagine. How great is that!

Act

Take time to look at God's handiwork.  Be curious about the creativity and attention to even the tiniest of details it took to bring to fruition. And, then, be in awe that the Creator of all, who loves you, is ready to blow your mind with what He has prepared for you.  Step onto His path and follow His guidance.

Pray

Heavenly Father, Thank You.  I truly can't conceive all of who You are.  But I know I want to be part of the adventure You have in store for my life.  Help me to let You be in control because I know Your plans are so much better than mine.  I'm ready, Lord.  In Jesus' name, Amen.
